Why would an ex contact you when he was stoned?

I've never been high so i don't know how it makes you feel, but does weed make you less inhibited like alcohol and make you feel frisky? He didn't say anything ual to me, he just asked how i was...he dumped me btw last month and we're in our early 20s. Thanks.
