I like Japanese anime, manga, and video games more then western stuff. Why is that?

It may be for a few different reasons. I like the character designs first of all. I find it's boring if the characters are too realistic. I like fantasy but I like them to be different. I don't read alot of books for this reason. I also like the stories and the art style. I'm not wapanese but I just appreciate Japanese art style more than western. I want to be a writer one day and I'm going to emulate the Japanese style a little bit. Maybe I already answered my own question but I just want a little more insight. So why is it that I appreciate the Japanese style more than western?
