I have seen two small meteorites come down in my backyard within days of each other, is this normal?

My "backyard" is 10 acres which opens up to 100 acres so it is very dark, I was deer watching / star gazing when this happened. Both times it seemed i was within 100 yards from where it was and it was a reddish orange streak that stopped just above the tree tops. They looked like a firework that was fizzling out. There were no planes ping above and i have very few neighbors so i know it came from the atmosphere. I have seen many shooting stars / meteors but none like this that actually came down and two within two days and so close in proximity! My question - has anyone seen this happen and do you think it actually produced a meteorite that i can find?
